REVIVAL

BRING HER BACK TO LIFE.

The first stage of the journey is to understand, restore and prepare the 1978 Bounty for a new chapter.

ASSESS • RESTORE • TRANSFORM • PREPARE

THE WORK BEGINS WITH THE SHIP

UNDERSTAND HER.
THEN RESTORE HER.

Bringing a historic sailing vessel back to life is not simply a matter of repairing what can be seen.

The Revival begins with professional assessment and due diligence, followed by a carefully managed programme of restoration, renewal and preparation.

It begins with understanding the vessel as she exists today — her structure, hull, masts, spars, rigging, machinery, systems, safety equipment and interior spaces.

The objective is not simply to make Bounty look complete again.

The objective is to give her a safe, functional and sustainable future.

THE REVIVAL JOURNEY

FOUR STEPS. ONE FUTURE

Bringing Bounty back to life will be a carefully managed process. Each stage builds on the one before it — from understanding the vessel as she exists today, to preparing her for the next chapter.

THE SHIP COMES FIRST.

Every decision begins with the vessel, her heritage and the requirements of a safe and sustainable future.

THE KNOWLEDGE BEHIND THE RESTORATION

RESTORATION IS MORE THAN MATERIALS.

Timber can be replaced.
Rope can be renewed.
Sails can be made again.

But the knowledge of how a traditional sailing vessel works — how she is rigged, maintained, sailed and cared for lives in people.

The Bounty Living Library brings that knowledge into the Revival. Former crew, shipwrights, riggers, sailors, engineers and maritime specialists can help ensure that the restoration is informed by the people who understand vessels like Bounty from experience.

THE SHIP CAN BE RESTORED.

THE KNOWLEDGE MUST LIVE ON.

THE REVIVAL PROGRAMME

EVERY PART OF HER MATTERS.

The restoration of Bounty is a complex and specialist project, involving many interconnected components. Each element has a vital role in bringing her back to life and preparing her for a new chapter as a floating museum, educational platform and cultural icon.

MORE THAN A RESTORATION

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE REVIVAL

A SHIP IS RESTORED BY PEOPLE

The Revival is more than a programme of repairs. It brings together people with the experience, skills and knowledge needed to understand Bounty, restore her properly and prepare her for a sustainable future.

Former crew, shipwrights, riggers, sailors, engineers, historians and maritime specialists each bring a different part of the knowledge required to bring her back to life. Alongside them are the people who carry Bounty's human history — the stories, memories, photographs, skills and connections preserved through the Bounty Living Library.

THE SHIP CAN BE RESTORED.
THE PEOPLE MUST CARRY HER STORY FORWARD.
