THE BOUNTY LIVING LIBRARY

THE PEOPLE
WHO REMEMBER
HER

A living archive of the people who sailed her,

worked on her, maintained her, documented her

and carried her story into the world.

LIVING ARCHIVE

THE STORIES BEHIND THE SHIP

The 1978 Bounty was more than timber, steel and rigging. She was a working ship, and her story lives in the people who sailed her, built her, maintained her, repaired her and carried her into the world. The Bounty Living Library brings these lives together with the records, photographs, films, publications and other evidence that help document her history.

TWO PATHS INTO HER STORY

The Historical Archive

preserves the documented history of the 1978 Bounty replica — what happened, when it happened, and what the surviving evidence tells us.

Bounty Keepers – The Storytellers preserves the personal experiences,

recollections, adventures and memories

of the people whose lives crossed paths

with the ship

Every contribution has a place. Some tell us what happened. Others tell us what it was like to be there.

KEEPING THE KNOWLEDGE ALIVE

THE WIDER BOUNTY COMMUNITY

BOUNTY KEEPERS - THE STORYTELLERS

Every ship leaves a story in the lives of the people who knew her.

The Bounty Keepers preserve the personal stories, memories and experiences of the people whose lives crossed paths with the 1978 Bounty replica.

From a brief encounter to years spent aboard, every contribution has a place. These are the voices, recollections, photographs and family memories that bring the ship's history to life.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL

TO HAVE A STORY THAT MATTERS.

THE BOUNTY HERITAGE KEEPERS ARE PART OF THE LIVING LIBRARY.

THE LIVING LIBRARY

EVERY VOICE ADDS A PAGE TO THE STORY

Not every Bounty story needs to become a full archive.

Sometimes it is a memory.

A photograph.

A passage.

A moment at sea.

A friendship.

A skill learned.

A story passed down through a family.

Bounty Voices preserves those moments too.

Each contribution becomes part of the Living Library creating a growing record of the people whose lives have crossed paths with the ship.

THE LIBRARY IS ALIVE

The Bounty Living Library is being built one story at a time.

New photographs, memories, documents, publications and first-hand accounts are being added as they are discovered and shared.

Some stories have already been preserved. Others are still waiting to be told.
