SHIP RECORDS & ARCHIVES
Original records can reveal details that never made it into published accounts. This collection brings together archival references, ship plans, launch programmes, correspondence, registration information and other surviving documents connected with the Bounty.
Wherever possible, records are identified by their holding institution, reference number, date and provenance, allowing future researchers to locate and examine the original material.
Some records remain undiscovered or inaccessible. Their absence is part of the research journey, and each new lead helps extend the archive.
The evidence grows as records are located, examined and verified.
