HOW BOUNTY BEGAN

Where Bounty began.

In 1978, a remarkable ship began to take shape at Whangārei Engineering & Construction Ltd in New Zealand. Built as a full-size replica for a proposed film project, Bounty would go on to have a life far beyond the screen.

This collection follows her construction, the people involved, the original plans, her launch and her first days at sea.

The collection grows as the evidence comes.
